The locations and histories of the Broken Hills and Golden Hills batteries and mines are relatively well documented and understood.
The Broken Hills Battery started 1900. The Golden Hills Battery is underway late 1909.
There were several small batteries whose histories and locations are less clear. The Wealth of Nations Mining Syndicate operated a ten stamp battery 1938-1940, beside the Third Branch.
